Thank you to all of our donors, volunteers and prayer warriors for assisting Old Savannah City Mission in making
our 20th Annual Day of Great Thanksgiving (our Platinum Anniversary) a huge success.  Under sunny skies,
hundreds of people received a Thanksgiving message of “giving thanks”.  In addition, the day started with music
from the Christian band Colston Branch, proclamations were read from the City of Savannah and Chatham County
government officials.  The celebration continued with a wonderful lunch of smoked turkey, cornbread stuffing, yams,
green beans and cranberry sauce.  Finally, the day ended with free clothing, hats, shoes, and socks for all in
attendance.

During the 4 hours of our celebration over 50 community volunteers provided 475 meals to people in attendance
and home delivered meals. As you prepare for your family’s Day of Great Thanksgiving, please continue to keep
Old Savannah City Mission in your prayers, and continue to support us financially, as we continue to help those in
our community who without Old Savannah City Mission would have no place not only on Thanksgiving Day but
throughout the year.

God bless each of you and on behalf of Old Savannah City Mission its students and staff, we wish everyone a
Happy Thanksgiving!  Please join us again next year as we celebrate our 21st Day of Great Thanksgiving on
November 17, 2018.

In Service to God,
William E. Stiles, Executive Director
