| Dear Friends,
I’ve attached something very powerful to this letter. And I’m praying you’ll send it back right away. It’s a HOPE TICKET, a ticket that — when you return it with your gift — will give hope to a hurting Savannah neighbor on the verge of giving up. I’m talking about the homeless veteran who thinks “everyone has forgotten me”…the addict who’s starting to believe there’s no way out for me”…and so many more. Struggling people like these are turning to the Old Savannah City Mission this summer with various urgent needs: Food. Shelter from the blazing heat. Decent clothes. Addiction recovery. Spiritual rebirth. Job training. Permanent life-change. But bottom line — they need hope this summer! And that’s where you come in. Your HOPE TICKET, returned with a generous gift, will give needy people a summer of hope by giving us the critical resources to meet these various needs. This summer, so many people are buying tickets for their own enjoyment (ballgames, movies, amusement parks, air travel). I ask you to “buy” a HOPE TICKET to bless someone with virtually nothing. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick,” the Bible tells us (Prov. 13:12). It certainly does! I see it every day as I look into the eyes of homeless men! Heartsick people on the edge of throwing in the towel. It makes my own heart ache. But the Bible also promises that “longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” Just a little caring — food, a soft pillow in a safe place to sleep, some counseling — can revive a person. That’s why Jesus ministered to people with various needs…and why I’m pleading with you to follow His example of compassion and concern for the hurting. Can I hear from you? Thank you for opening your heart to give someone hope. |
| This summer, give him the gift he's crying out to receive... |

| P.S. Without hope, people wither. With just a little help - a little encouragement - they come alive! Please send your HOPE TICKET with a generous gift to help Old Savannah City Mission give critical assistance - and hope - this summer. Thank you! |
