Dear Friends,

On behalf of Old Savannah City Mission, we would
like to extend our thanks and sincere gratitude for
everyone who participated in the 1st Annual Old
Savannah City Mission 5K Run/Walk on Saturday,
March 30th.  Under sunny skies, over 250
runners/walkers traversed around beautiful Forsyth
Park twice, traveling 3.2 miles from the park and
ending at Old Savannah City Mission.  For students in
our local schools, this event provided an opportunity
to obtain some of the volunteer hours needed for
graduation.  It also taught students about philanthropy
and the need to give back to our community.
The 5-K Run/Walk supported the efforts of
Old Savannah City Mission to preach the
Gospel, feed the hungry, shelter the
homeless, rehabilitate the addict, and
restore the ex-offender.  In 2018, the
Mission provided over 89,000 meals to
hungry individuals/families and provided
over 17,000 shelter beds.

Dozens of friends, students, and athletes
of all ages helped to raise over $50,000 to
support the ongoing efforts of Old Savannah
City Mission.  The event could not have
been a success without those who
participated and our corporate sponsors
including, Strength of Nature, Landmark 24
Homes & Realty, Carver State Bank,
Colonial Group, Inc., Bowtie Barbeque Co.,
The Kennickell Group, Olcott Plastics, W.E.
Stiles Law, Medical Wellness Clinics, Belzer
PC, Synovus Bank, de Coquet Family, GA
Ports Authority, Thomas & Hutton, Water
Utility Management, and TJS Deemer Dana,
LLP.
Because you made this inaugural event a huge success, we hope that you will continue to support Old
Savannah City Mission on an ongoing basis as a sustaining donor. Moreover, we hope that you will
enthusiastically support our 2nd Annual 5-K Run/Walk next year.

Sincerely,

Mario de la Guardia, Jr.                   William E. Stiles                      Connell Stiles
